FAQ

Will my clients need to re-authorize payment when we switch from the alternative?

Most do, within the first week. On both Anchor and alternative, clients enter a payment method once when they accept an agreement, so the step is familiar. The difference is that Anchor's team sequences your rollout so billing is not interrupted during the move.

Why should I choose Anchor over the alternative?

Anchor is the leading proposal-to-paid automation platform built for service businesses - primarily accounting, bookkeeping, and tax firms. It automates the entire financial relationship with clients from initial proposal through to collected and reconciled payment.

The signed agreement becomes the live operating system for billing, payment collection, scope changes, price increases, and reconciliation.

Anchor Clearly Wins at

  • Post-close billing automation depth — amendments, changes, renewals handled without new proposals
  • Pricing model clarity - $5/payment flat, no subscription, no ACH fees
  • Revenue protection - price increases and renewal terms embedded in the proposal before signing
  • Compliance and audit trail - two-sided ecosystem, client acknowledgment required for changes
  • Multiple-invoice consolidation -f ewer invoices per client, lower total transaction fees
  • Email domain personalization - proposals come from your domain
  • Reconciliation automation - fully automated

How long does migration take?

Migration is quick and seamless. Anchor's team recreates your agreements from your existing current tool data rather than rebuilding client by client, and works at whatever pace suits your firm, so you can move quickly or phase it over time. Any client who hasn't reconnected yet can keep billing on current tool through the transition, so no revenue is lost.

How does Anchor's pricing compare to alternative tools??

Anchor charges one flat rate, $5 per successful payment, with no monthly subscription.

What happens when a client's scope or price changes mid-engagement?

On Anchor, you amend one live agreement and billing updates automatically. On Ignition, a mid-engagement change typically means sending a new proposal or handling it off-system, because the signed agreement is fixed at signing

What kinds of billing can Anchor automate?

All of them. Anchor bills fixed, recurring, hourly, and unit-based work straight from the live agreement, including variable charges, without anyone confirming each amount by hand. As your engagements shift between retainers, projects, and hourly work, billing keeps running without manual steps.

How secure is client payment data?

Anchor uses bank-level encryption, doesn't store card or bank-account details on its servers, and keeps a full activity log visible to both you and your client. Payments are handled to the standards firms in regulated, fiduciary work require.

How and when does Anchor charge me?

When you receive a payment, and only then, Anchor deducts $5 from the funds you receive. Anchor is completely free to use throughout the entire process, including unlimited agreements, users, clients, and invoices.

Once your proposal is sent and signed, it acts as a live agreement between you and your client. Invoices, collections, payments, and reconciliation are generated from your agreement automatically – saving you time, money, and energy, eliminating manual labor and workarounds, and preventing mistakes. As your client payment information is collected when your agreement is signed (and Anchored.. 😉 ), all that’s left for you to do is enjoy watching the funds transferred to your account, on time, automatically.

Is Anchor suited only for retainer based services?

Absolutely not!!! We developed Anchor knowing that the only constant in a business is change. You can add dynamic payment options, add new services in the middle of a billing cycle and address different billing dates, deliverable quantities and hour based caps. Anything that can be invoiced on paper, can be billed & collected with Anchor.

I have existing clients on alternative platform, can I upload them to Anchor?

Yes! Anchor makes it easy to add your existing clients to the platform with ready-made templates. Plus, our team of success managers will help you migrate your clients over to Anchor. The entire set up takes just a few minutes and your clients will be up and running before your next billing cycle
